No, we train riders on any bike! We have seen scooters, supermotos, tourers, sport tourers and classics on our schools over the years.
No, most of the students we coach are road riders.
No, we have had racers from club, national and international levels on our schools from all over the world.
Yes, for sure, we are cornering experts! We use the track as it is controllable and allows a high repetition of corners, perfect for learning cornering skills for the road or the track.
5.) Do I have to start at Level One?
Yes everyone does. This is not a reflection of your ability it's just how the School works. Everyone starts at Level One and moves through each of the levels in order. This is necessary, as each level feeds one into each other. You need to know the information from the preceding levels before you can undertake the subsequent ones.
Each level is a full day of training. The day starts very early at 7am onward for registration and runs into the evening 5.00-5.30pm with a break for lunch in the middle.
Yes, you need leather pants and jacket that zip together or a full leather suit. Canvas, cotton, nylon, polyester or other wonderful materials are not allowed! You will also need a full face helmet, leather motorcycle gloves and leather motorcycle boots.
Well, you won’t if you join our school in Europe, USA or Australia but in the G.C.C. we are unfortunately less equipped. We do have some excellent contact with a 3rd party though, contact us for more info.
Why should you? At the schools we ask you to ride at no more than 85% of your ability so you can learn. If you rode at 85% in your normal environment would you crash? Unlikely!
As we will expect you to ride at 85% or less you have enough attention to learn and apply new techniques, standard road tyres are fine as long as they pass our safety check.
Compared to what? A track day….maybe. Buying a book about riding techniques….yes, but not compared to the improvement you think you might get from a race can or suspension component! We give you skills for life, how much is that worth?
Really? Then how do you think you can catch and beat the guy in front? Even Rossi has this challenge.
